The Cottage Garden has some kind of Perennial from Early March til October, just like an old-fashioned Homestead should be. Many flowers were inherited from some 70 years ago when the home was owned by florists who grew their own flowers in the fields behind the home, that became neighborhoods in the early 1950’s.
